Jets Soar Past Texans, Leading 21-10 at Halftime
It's a tale of two halves at MetLife Stadium! The New York Jets are absolutely flying high, building a comfortable 21-10 lead over the Houston Texans at the break. The Texans, who looked promising in the first quarter, have been completely shut down by the Jets' stifling defense.
The Jets got off to a fast start, scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. Breece Hall, looking like a man possessed, ripped off a 30-yard run to set up a short field goal. Then, on their second possession, Zach Wilson found Garrett Wilson wide open for a 50-yard touchdown pass. The Jets’ offense was clicking, with Wilson finding his receivers with precision and the run game finding holes in the Texans’ defense.
Houston, meanwhile, started strong, with a field goal on their first drive. But the Texans’ offense stalled after that, failing to find a rhythm. Their only score in the second quarter came off a field goal.
The turning point came midway through the second quarter. After a Texans fumble deep in their own territory, the Jets capitalized with another touchdown. This time, Wilson found Tyler Conklin for a 10-yard score. Suddenly, the game felt completely out of reach for the Texans.
The first half saw plenty of exciting plays and a few questionable calls by the refs. But the Jets’ dominance has been undeniable. Can the Texans find a way to mount a comeback in the second half? Or will the Jets cruise to victory? Stay tuned!
