"TIPI-TAP" Era: A Dive into Kep1er's World with a Chat About Their New Song and Dreams
Kep1er, the nine-member girl group born from the Mnet survival show "Girls Planet 999," is back with their latest release, "TIPI-TAP." This catchy summer track has already gotten everyone hooked on its infectious energy and playful vibe. But what goes on behind the scenes of a Kep1er comeback? We sat down with the girls to chat about their new song, their evolving sound, and their dreams for the future.
Let's start with the new song, "TIPI-TAP." It's a total departure from your last release, "We Fresh." What was the inspiration behind the change in style?
Yujin: We wanted to show a different side of ourselves with "TIPI-TAP." It's still Kep1er, but it's a bit more playful and fun. We wanted something that would capture the feeling of summer and make people want to dance.
Chaewon: We also wanted to try something a little more experimental. We wanted to push ourselves musically and see what we could do.
Speaking of pushing boundaries, "TIPI-TAP" features some pretty dynamic choreography. Tell us about the process of learning and performing it.
Hikaru: It was definitely challenging at first. The moves are really powerful and dynamic. But we worked really hard to learn them and we're so happy with the final product.
Dayeon: We love how the dance reflects the energy of the song. It's all about having fun and expressing ourselves.
You guys are only a year into your career, but you've already experienced so much. What's something you've learned along the way?
Xiaoting: We've learned so much about ourselves as a group and as individuals. We've learned how to work together better, and we've learned how to communicate with each other more effectively.
Mashiro: We've also learned the importance of staying true to ourselves and our music. We want to always keep evolving and growing, but we also want to stay true to our roots.
What are your dreams for Kep1er going forward?
Bahiyyih: We dream of being a group that inspires and motivates others. We want to be a group that brings joy and happiness to people.
Youngeun: We also want to continue to grow as artists and become even better at what we do.
Finally, what's your message to your fans, the Kep1ians?
Yeseo: Thank you for always supporting us. We're so grateful for your love and encouragement. We'll continue to work hard and put out amazing music for you guys!
With their infectious energy, captivating stage presence, and genuine personalities, Kep1er is proving they're here to stay. This is just the beginning for these talented young women, and we can't wait to see what they do next.
