Hey everyone! September is here, which means one thing: Native American Heritage Month is officially upon us! And here at Westview High, we're kicking things off with a bang! This year, we're going all out to celebrate the rich cultures and histories of Indigenous peoples.
Why Celebrate Native American Heritage Month?
Let's be real, for way too long, the contributions of Native Americans have been kinda swept under the rug in our history books. This month is all about shining a light on their incredible resilience, artistry, and the deep connection they have to the land. It's about acknowledging their past struggles and celebrating their present achievements. It's a chance to learn, to listen, and to grow as a community.

Pow Wow Extravaganza!

We're hosting one right here on campus — think dazzling dance performances, incredible storytelling, and mouthwatering Native American cuisine. It’s gonna be a total blast! It's a chance to witness the beauty of Native American culture firsthand. Seriously, don't miss this.
Guest Speakers and Workshops
We've invited some seriously awesome guest speakers to share their stories and perspectives. We're also hosting workshops on everything from traditional crafts to Indigenous languages. It’s a chance to learn something new and connect with different cultures. You can even learn to make some sweet beadwork!
Art Exhibit Showcasing Indigenous Talent
