Kanguva, the much-hyped period action film starring Suriya, has finally hit theaters. While Suriya, as always, delivers a stellar performance, the film unfortunately falls short of expectations, leaving audiences with a sense of unfulfilled potential.

The film attempts to weave a grand narrative set in the ancient Chola era, but struggles to find its footing. The plot, despite its ambition, feels muddled and convoluted. The pacing is uneven, with moments of intense action juxtaposed with lengthy stretches of exposition that drag on.

Suriya's dedication is undeniable. He throws himself into the role with his usual energy and charisma, bringing a sense of gravitas to the screen.
