Si King Opens Up on Life After Dave Myers: "It's Been a Rollercoaster"
Si King, one half of the beloved British TV duo "The Hairy Bikers," has been open about the challenges of navigating life after his best friend and co-star, Dave Myers, stepped back from the limelight due to health reasons. In a recent interview, Si revealed the emotional impact of Dave's absence and his own journey of adaptation.
"It's been a rollercoaster, that's for sure," admitted Si. "We've been a team for so long, and it's strange not having Dave by my side, both on and off screen. We've been through so much together, good times and bad, and the support we've given each other has been immense."
Si spoke candidly about the initial shock and uncertainty, but also about the incredible support he's received from fans and colleagues. "It's been a real eye-opener," he shared, "to see how much Dave means to people, and how much our shows have impacted their lives. It's heartwarming, but it also makes the whole situation a bit more bittersweet."
He emphasized that while Dave might be taking a step back, he's still very much a part of their lives. "He's still my best friend, and we still talk all the time," Si explained. "And although he's not physically there with me, he's still with me in spirit, in every recipe, every adventure, and every laugh."
Si's dedication to their shared legacy is evident. He's continued to cook and travel, bringing his own unique energy and passion to new projects, always mindful of the legacy they built together. "I know Dave wants me to keep going, and I'm doing my best to do that," he said. "It's not always easy, but I'm trying to honor everything we've done together."
As Si continues to navigate this new chapter, he remains focused on the future, while honoring the past. "Dave's health is the most important thing," he stressed. "And I'll be there for him every step of the way, just like he's always been there for me."
