76ers Game: George's Take on Last Play
You guys, that game was a rollercoaster! The Sixers were down by 10 with 2 minutes left, and I thought we were done. But then, Embiid turned into a superhero, dropping buckets like it was nothing. I swear, I almost fell outta my chair when he hit that three-pointer! It felt like the game was in the bag, but then… bam! The other team hits a ridiculous shot to tie it with seconds left. Talk about a heart attack!
So, what happened on that last play? The 76ers had the ball, and they were trying to run a play for Embiid, but the defense was tight. They couldn't get him the ball. I mean, come on, it was literally seconds left! So, what did they do? They threw the ball to Harden, and he pulled up for a three! I'm not gonna lie, I was a little surprised. He's been struggling all game, but in that moment, he just went for it.
Here's the thing, though. The shot was off the mark. It looked like it might go in, but it just rimmed out. That's when the real drama started. The ball bounced around for a second, and then it landed right in Embiid's hands! And guess what? He immediately tried to put it up for a game-winning shot! But, you know what they say, sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. He missed, and it was over.
I know a lot of people are blaming Harden for taking the shot, but I don't think it was a bad decision. He's a great player, and in that moment, he had to do what he felt was best. Honestly, I think they just got unlucky. The ball didn't bounce their way, and that's how it goes sometimes. But hey, at least it was a good game! The 76ers fought hard, and they almost pulled off a miraculous comeback. It's just a shame they couldn't close it out.
